Can anyone help. I am using an HP Pavilion zv5000 laptop and its great with CQ100 using the keyboard. However, I have down loaded the dahdida CW Keyer programme and the only serial port picked up by the programme is COM3. However, on the rear of the laptop there is no serial port, only a parallel connector for connecting an optional parallel device, such as an external diskette drive bay, or a printer. although there is an external monitor port for connecting an optional external monitor or overhead projector and an RJ-11 (modem) jack for connecting a modem cable. Therefore, can anyone tell me how I can start keying CQ100 with a straight key using dahdidah.
Thank you in anticipation & Regards John Youde G0GUF RNNARS 3227 |

| Most people are using a USB to DB9 Serial converter. |
