| This error would happen if two users are using you callsign at the same time. Check Task Manager to see if two copies of CQ100 are running on your computer at the same time. Did you leave CQ100 installed on someone's computer? Changing your password will ensure that someone else is not listening on CQ100 under your callsign. |

Thanks Doug,
I had CQ100 running on my other computer to see if it "crackled" and "popped" at the same time. Now I know that is not a good thing to do.
I did install an old Sound Blaster card in the computer and disabled the internal Sound Card. The crackling sound is definitely less than it was before after I did this. I also had the perception that the wireless mouse was also causing some issues as well. I did turn off Window system sounds.
I am glad that you explained the issue. I suspect that the same thing will happen on other digital signals as well.
Thanks for having such a great program available for us to use.
Regards,
George |
