I would like to recommend the followings to send/receive better pictures in SSTV over CQ100.
1, Change center frequency from the default value of 1900Hz down to 900Hz.
This will bring you better signal to noise ratio that should improve edge noise dramatically though you may have random noise with small sizes and low levels which might be allowable. Unfortunately we may not be able to change frequency setting of MMSSTV but MixW.
2, Use TTT mode which is far robust under internet environment than the other modes. Again, only MixW provides TTT mode. Please check pictures by visiting my BLOG at http://sky.ap.teacup.com/ja1scw/. Thanks and 73! de JA1SCW
For Easy Clock Adjustment, I have posted a sound file and picture created by using SMPTE Color Bar. Clock accuracy looks not good enough yet. I will tune clock settings by Dec 16 and update ASAP. The file can be downloaded by clicking http://www011.upp.so-net.ne.jp/ja1scw/SSTV.wav. 73! de JA1SCW
